Jim is President of LiveAmerica, a consumer-focused distribution company that is an industry leader in living benefit insurance solutions. He is also President of James A. Mallon Associates (JMA), where he provides guidance to firms across the world, is on the board of directors for SE2, and is a distinguished lecturer at the University of Alabama’s Culverhouse School of Business.

Jim is perhaps best known for developing one of the first living benefit life insurance products: Quality of Life…Insurance, while serving as President and CEO of American General Life and Accident (AGLA), a subsidiary of AIG. During his tenure at AGLA, Jim repositioned the company with a consumer driven focus on living benefits, resulting in sales results that dramatically outperformed the U.S. life insurance industry. Ultimately, Jim became President of Global Life Insurance at AIG where he led their growth, including strategic acquisitions and joint ventures, domestically and internationally.
