Lakeith began his career with New York Life & NYLIFE Securities in October of 2017 as an agent/ advisor in Charlotte, NC. Lakeith found great joy in helping newer agents get their bearings and launching their careers. After deciding that he wanted to go into management, he then went on to qualify for Executive Council in 2019 and Quality Council in 2020. In August of 2020, during the height of the Pandemic Lakeith earned his promotion to Associate Partner and graduated to Partner in February of 2021 at the top of his class. In 2022 he was awarded New Partner of the Year in the Charlotte General Office, received the award for Top POP Percentage for First Prior Class (326% to goal) in the South-Central Zone, and earned the coveted New York Life Honors Excellence in Recruiting Award in 2022 & 2023. Prior to coming to New York Life, Lakeith spent 8 year with Comcast Xfinity, 4 years as a door-to-door Sale Rep, 1 year as Direct Sales Supervisor, and 3 years a General Sales Manager. This is where he developed his love for people development and sales coaching.
Lakeith is originally from Detroit, MI and met his wife Lashell during their time at Michigan State University. They have three children: Madisyn, Ethan, and Avery. In his free time Lakeith loves to read, bowl, and volunteer with his fraternity brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

About Jonathan:
Jonathan E. Spitz is a partner with the firm and represents clients in matters involving estate planning and administration; probate litigation; and corporate formation. Jonathan graduated from Wofford College and received his Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law where he served as a research assistant to Professor Ginny Meeks. After law school, Jonathan clerked for the Honorable Amy W. McCulloch, Probate Judge for Richland County and has his Masters of Laws Degree in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law. Jonathan was a member of the inaugural class of ACTEC’s Southeast Fellows Institute in 2023.
Jonathan is Certified by the Supreme Court of South Carolina as a Specialist in Estate Planning & Probate Law and is an Adjunct Professor at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law teaching Estate Planning.
Currently, Jonathan also serves as a member of the Wofford Alumni Association Board of Directors and is the Chair of the South Carolina Bar Probate, Estate and Trust Committee. He also is the Course Planner for the South Carolina Bar's Al Todd Estate Planning Workshop and is a Committee Member for the Joseph F. Rice School of Law Estate Planning Conference.
Jonathan grew up in Anderson, South Carolina, but now considers Columbia home along with his wife, Jescelyn, their two boys and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
