Matt Nichols is a Business Development Manager for ICHRA, for Ambetter Health Insurance. As such he trains and manages relationships with agents, brokers, agencies and ICHRA vendors across the country.
Matt has been in the insurance industry since 1997 when he started his first agency in Michigan at just twenty-one years old. During his career he built three different agencies before moving to South Carolina in 2014 and joining the corporate ranks. During these years he has served in many different roles including sales trainer, broker manager, sales director, senior sales analyst, and his current role working with ICHRA, he is never one to back down from a new challenge or endeavor.
He is passionate about helping agents grow their business and succeed while doing what is right for customers and putting their needs first. He is a strong advocate for ICHRA and enjoys teaching and explaining what it is and how it works to both agents and groups. His wide and varied background gives him a unique voice in the insurance industry.
Over the years he has attended school for Computer Technology, Computer Networking, and International Business.
He enjoys traveling, riding motorcycles, and a variety of sports. He is a passionate fan of both Detroit Tigers and Michigan Wolverines.
Jeneva Vazquez is a Senior Associate at Jesson & Rains, PLLC, where she focuses on estate planning, corporate law, and estate administration. She is licensed to work with clients in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, and New Mexico.
Jeneva's commitment to estate planning and small business planning is deeply personal, driven by her desire to protect and care for the people she values most. She is passionate about serving as a trusted legal advisor in life and legacy planning, offering client-centered service, and honoring client goals with flexibility and care.
Jeneva has redefined the traditional approach to estate planning by emphasizing transparency in legal fees, eliminating hourly billing, and fostering ongoing relationships through regular 3-year check-ins. She also offers a variety of strategies designed to protect minor children, ensuring her clients' peace of mind for the future.
Matthew (“Matt”) Zackon has more than fifteen years’ experience working with institutional investors, corporate executives, CPAs, and wealth management professionals. He has advised multiple major financial banking institutions on financial regulations and worked with law makers on Capitol Hill as part of the Senate Judiciary Committee and for the former US House Majority Leader. Matt played critical roles in connecting stakeholders in multiple federal and state historic, abandoned building, abandoned textile, and federal renewable energy deals.
At TCM, Matt is responsible for driving the strategic growth of the company's business model with the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Business Development by executing sales strategies in-line with corporate goals and objectives.
He is also responsible for maintaining relationships with insurance companies, financial institutions, high net worth individuals, and institutional investors that may benefit from tax credit investments to reduce their state and federal tax liability.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia Tech. He also received his Juris Doctor and International MBA from the University of South Carolina School of Law and the Moore School of Business simultaneously. Matt is a licensed attorney in South Carolina and a member of the South Carolina Bar. He is a member of the Tarantella Club and the Leadership South Carolina Class of 2025. Matt is currently on the board of Focused Living and is also a member of the Leadership Columbia Class of 2023 and is based in the company’s Columbia, S.C. office.
